Sharia law to be Incorporated?

Will Archbishop William's comments on incorporating some aspects of Sharia Law into British Law come to be viewed as forward thinking, proposing to extend the frame of British law just far enough to include some of the moderate aspects of Sharia. Or were they misguided and polar-ising?
