This book considers how the three European states have attempted to accommodate Muslim religious practices from the early 1990s to the present day. It analyses theories of resource mobilization, political-opportunity structure, and ideology as explanations, and goes on to propose that historical relationships between the institutions of church and state shape each individual country's approach to Muslims.
