Wednesday 15 September: Pakistan: A Corona Burst of Talent
At our London launch event, please join Granta, Green Cardamom arts organization and writers including Daniyal Mueenuddin and Nadeem Aslam for a discussion on the literature and contemporary art of Pakistan. A reception with Pakistani canapés from Silk Road Cafe will follow. The evening will also include live music and a silent auction of art work from the issue.

Nadeem Aslam, Aamer Hussein, Sarfraz Manzoor and Kamila Shamsie will read from their work and discuss the dynamics of expression in and out of Pakistan. In association with PEN and FLOW: The Free Word Festival.

Friday 17 September: Pakistan POP! Dance Party for OXFAM
Blackall Studios opens its doors to Granta for a night of dancing and fundraising in support of OXFAM’s floods appeal hosted by Granta and Kamila Shamsie. Dance the night away to music from Def Leppard to ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ and other gems inspired by Kamila Shamsie’s essay ‘Pop Idols’, mixed by a Karachi-based DJ from City FM 89.
